A BV incorporation at Digital Notary takes four to seven working days. Below is a realistic day-by-day overview of a four-working-day process, followed by what can make it take longer.

Day 1, Account & file

Create an account, choose a package, confirm your email. Fill in the company details: name, objects, SBI codes, share structure. The platform fills in as much as possible automatically based on what you type.

Day 1–2, Identification

Identification via Sumsub: ID photo, liveness check, sanctions and PEP list screening. For co-founders: as soon as they have also been identified, the process continues. This is the first possible delay; if one co-founder is slow to identify, the process waits.

Day 2–3, Signing

Draft articles of association and powers of attorney are generated from your details. All founders sign digitally via eIDAS. Time per person: five minutes.

Day 3–4, Execution of the deed

The notary partner (Berger Notariaat) receives the complete file, checks it legally and executes the deed. This is a formal act performed by the civil-law notary personally; you don't need to do anything for it.

Day 4, KvK registration

Immediately after the deed is executed, the BV is registered with the Chamber of Commerce (KvK). You get the KvK number in your dashboard. From that moment your BV legally exists.
