Which cookies we place

Digital Notary places functional cookies that are needed for the website to work, and — only with your consent — analytical cookies (Google Analytics) and advertising cookies (Google Ads). In the cookie notice you choose per category; analytics and advertising are off by default.

Functional

• dn-consent: remembers your choice for analytical cookies so we do not show the cookie notice again on every visit. Retention period 12 months.
• dn-ad-consent: remembers your choice for advertising cookies. Retention period 6 months.
• Session preferences: dark or light mode and language are stored locally in your browser, without identification.

Analytics

We measure use of the site in two ways. Plausible Analytics is a privacy-friendly counter that sets no cookies and collects no personal data — it always runs, aggregated and stored in Europe. We only use Google Analytics 4 after your consent via the cookie notice, to understand how visitors use the site and the move to app.digitalnotary.nl. Without consent we place no Google Analytics cookies.

Analytics cookies we place — only with your consent:

• _ga: distinguishes visitors from one another. Retention period up to 24 months.
• _ga_<measurement-id>: stores the session state for Google Analytics 4. Retention period up to 24 months.

Advertising

Only if you separately consent to advertising cookies in the cookie notice do we measure how effective our advertisements are. We then activate Google Consent Mode for advertising and share — via Google Ads — which ad click (gclid) led to an account or incorporation, and, for a completed incorporation, the associated value. This lets us see which campaigns work. If you do not give consent, we place no advertising cookies and share no advertising data; the advertising identifier (gclid) is then not stored. Advertising consent is off by default and is separate from your choice for analytics.

Advertising cookies we place — only with your consent:

• Google Ads Consent Mode (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization): measure advertising effectiveness and conversions. Retention period up to 24 months.

Third-party services

With your consent we load Google Analytics 4 for aggregated, IP-anonymised usage statistics, and — if you separately consent to it — Google Ads to measure the effectiveness of our advertisements. Google processes this data on the basis of the relevant agreements; transfers outside the EU are covered by the standard contractual clauses (SCCs) and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. If you refuse a category, we do not load the associated service. We do not use the Facebook Pixel. The login platform at app.digitalnotary.nl has its own cookie policy for the operational cookies needed there.

Deleting cookies

You can delete the cookies of digitalnotary.nl at any time via your browser settings. Our cookie notice will then appear again on your next visit.
